Marketing Department meeting + price survey

Activities:

For this first ever departmental meeting, my objectives were to decide on the products to sell on that day, as well as open for any suggestion for fundraising event.

Not all of my department members joined in meeting that day, but fortunately about half of my members were presence for further discussion.

Suggested things to sell for fundraising:
- snacks (easy packages)
- biscuits

Since the fundraising needed to carry out before the main event (end of April) hence the fundraising would be best held on early of April. With this, I needed to survey the price once we decided on the snacks. In the last HOD meeting, HOD of media recommended me to sell potato chips as it's popular to sell.

After the discussion is done, we googled up some nearby retailer shop for snacks to buy.

Members involved: Me, Yee Wan and Pui Yoong
Duration: 1 hour
Venue: Lam Long Shop, K-19, Jalan Pasar 1/21, Seksyen 1, 46000 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Activities:
- We looked up for some potential snacks type to buy and recorded it down by snapping photos and price.
- We searched for snacks that's popular among students.
- We created a list of snacks, and packaging needed to pack.
Transportation: We went by uber.

Fundraising 101 - A guide for all members

Fundraising 101  First of all the menu, 1. Maggi-style Yakisoba bread aka Maggi in the bread 2. Sausage cup/ Hotdog cup 3. Kacang putih 4. Pillow biscuits  5. Popcorn (movie night)  6. 100plus drinks, Chrysanthemum tea, Lemon tea (for movie night) What to do during fundraising?   - We will need every member to share the whatsapp order list in their respective kk (residential college)’s whatsapp group. - The order will be closed at 5pm and then order list was then send back inside the HOD group by the HOD. - The responsible HOD, will then send the order list to department group. - The leader for the preparation department will have to collect the materials from KK3 (third residential college) at 5pm. -   Preparation department can start cooking once got the order list and preparing the order. Intel Aspire Minds Workshop

An important update is that our main event had changed to be cooperating with Intel for their event. We are no longer going to have a workshop in our faculty, yet we took up the change to work with Intel. This decision was sudden, yet all of us agreed to take up this event as our event activities and aim were quite similar. We were glad to host the event as we get trained by the professionals and the event gave an larger impact which is what we were looking for. Date: 6/4/2018 Venue: MM3, FSKTM Activities: On 5th of April, we do have a short meet up for all the HODs with Faiz, to get updates for 6/4/2018. While on 6/4/2018, we had our morning session workshop with Faiz, in which he described our tasks, and the procedure to build a robot car.
