We were all asked to brainstorm to select a project that we are going to carry out as a group. Our group has big amount of students, which total up to 54 students. All of us, later on will be divided under four different departments.
Some projects we came out after some discussion:
1. Education for orphanage
2. Activity to lend a hand in old folks home
3. Projects regarding homeless people in Kuala Lumpur.
4. Education for refugee.
Quickly, we were asked to form the committee structure that serves as the backbones for the project. On this particular day as well, we chose project manager, vice project manager, secretary, treasurer, vice treasurer, head of department for human resource, marketing, sponsorship and media.
Project Manager: Shawn Tey Wei Sheng
Vice Project Manager: Arni Syahira Binti Ishak
Secretary: Lim Phooi Xian
Treasurer: Lai Yong Zhu
Vice Treasurer: Sebastian Tan
HOD of Human Resources: Cheah Keat Yoong Vice: Mohamad Zaidan Bin Mohamad Khalil
HOD of Marketing : Eunice Cheng (me) Vice: Lee Yee Wan
HOD of Sponsorship: Mitra Anusri a/p Muralitharan Vice: Aifa Natasha Binti Azmi
HOD of Media: Muhammad Ashraf bin Mahathar Vice: Yau Pei Chi
As seen above, I volunteered myself for the position of HOD Marketing since I have had experience in being Marketing committee member before in other various projects. A Whatsapp group was created instead of Telegram group for easier communication and information exchange. All the leaders chosen seems very promising and I was excited for the project we are going to choose to contribute back to society.
Problem faced:
During our first meeting, we were actually dealing with extra credit applications issue. Since the server was down, many students weren't able to apply for extra credit due to heavy internet traffic. The problem is then resolved with the help of Dr. Suraya.
